Many Roles, One Theme

I’ve worn a lot of hats in my life – writer, producer, speaker, owner, agent, instructor, salesman, manager, operations guy, analyst, and more – but I  that’s not unusual for someone with more than a few years in the work world. I’ve also been called – energetic, enthusiastic, creative, intense, smart, funny, serious, and a few things way off most people’s radar. What ties all  these hats and names together is one thing – a passion for getting people excited about making good things happen in their lives and businesses.

In the seventh grade I discovered a talent for writing stories about places I wanted to visit, things I wanted to do, and futures I wanted to see. At the same time I became a magnet for anyone with a problem to solve or an idea they wanted to bring to life. I was good at listening for what they wanted to have happen or where they wanted to go and used insights and questions to lead them there. Both discoveries brought out a passion in me for lifting people up and opening them to unlimited possibilities. Today, I have twin degrees in writing, intensive training as a coach, and years of experience as an entrepreneur and business leader to draw on when it comes to helping people or organizations.

Exploring challenges, discovering creative solutions, and energizing people with new possibilities, is what gets me out of bed every day. In the classroom teaching, on the stage speaking, in front of my computer writing my next book or story, working with creative teams bringing new possibilities to life, or talking one-on-one to uncover new paths to success – they all fill me with a natural energy that not only lifts me, it provides an endless well of energy for helping others invent, and build, the kind of future they want.
