Keynotes & Training
Sometimes the key to success is hearing a fresh voice or learning about a new approach. How will you energize the future of your organization…or your life?
Branding & Marketing
Branding doesn’t start with a pretty logo. It starts with a powerful story that motivates employees, builds communities, and compels people to act.

Consulting
Your passion moved you to start your business, or join your company, but now what? Do you have a clear plan on how to get you where you want to go?

Coaching
A psychologist works on the past to fix the present. A good coach works on the present to create a better future. It’s all about making the invisible visible to you.
Making a Life, Not Just a Living
By John Hagerman For the past eight months I’ve been teaching public relations and public speaking. When I teach, I’m not always very subtle, so I’m pretty blunt about telling my students that part of their future jobs should be advising their employers to get on the bandwagon for doing good things in the community. I showed them the Edelman Good Purpose survey that says customers expect companies to do more than just write checks. I also shared some of my 10 years of experiences working with employees and organizations helping them find ways to make a difference. The positive impact on employees who are encouraged to get involved in doing good in the community is measured by more than increases in productivity; it’s measured by greater satisfaction in their work, better retention rates, and the shared connections that build stronger communities both inside and outside of the workplace.

By John Hagerman As a merit badge counselor for my son’s Boy Scout troop I frequently need to sign off on the boy’s completing another badge. Each one is a step toward a higher rank. More importantly, each one marks another set of skills the boys had to learn. What they gain is more than just a brightly colored patch on their uniform. What they gain is another piece of the puzzle of how to become confident, compassionate, and mature young men – the future leaders of our businesses and our country. From what I see, the future is bright for these boys. I wish there were a similar, clear-cut path everyone could follow to adulthood and leadership.

By John Hagerman Ask any of my Public Relations students at Takoda Institute about what I’m like as an instructor, and one of the more common replies you’ll get is, “Passionate.” You’re likely to get similar responses from clients and friends. The question is, what am I passionate about? The answer is simple, I’m passionate about energizing you to make happen in your life all the good things you want, and if you don’t know what you want, I’m passionate about helping you discover it. I’m passionate about helping business owners and managers create workplaces filled with energy, desire, and commitment. And I’m passionate about helping everyone discover, uncover or recover what most fulfills them and making it a part of their everyday lives.
